Based on a survey which asked for characteristics like age, size, hair color, etc. and their promise of a reward I designed Mr. Google on faceyourmanga.com. I kept with the survey results, but put a little evil touch in the face, expressing my own association.
Earth hour calls people and cities to turn off the light for 60 minutes. “2,848 cities, towns and municipalities in 84 countries have already committed.”
And guess who’s not part of the show. You’re right: Vienna. Thanks to biotiful.at for raising my attention.
Despite the ignorance of Vienna’s local government, there are still some people in the city who will join the movement and organizing “Lights-off-parties”. And maybe, one day, in a far far future, even our major will recognize the message.
The Romanian company Norc has done a great job in presenting an alternative to Google Street View. As the Google service is once more mainly for people from the states, although they now photograph some European places bit by bit. Norc instead, started to photograph in Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Romania and Russia), moving now forward to the west. Now Vienna is almost complete, whereas the nearest Google street view is in Milano (Italy), which are more than 600km (almost 400 miles). And confess, the first thing you do is to look at your own place, isn’t it?
BTW, the picture below is my personal street view from my home, including my Honda Hawk. Yeah!
